Improved June for Ohio casino and racino industries

The four casinos in Ohio saw their aggregated gross gaming revenues for June increas 7BALL CC e by more than 2% year-on-year to $62.08 million while the state’s seven racinos continued to post rises with their monthly combined p of $78.06 million representing a swell of some 10.4%.

According to official ps from the Ohio Casino Control Commission, the biggest winner last month was Jack Cincinnati Casino, which is owned by Detroit-based Jack Entertainment, as its gross gaming revenues for June rose by 9.2% year-on-year to hit $15.36 million although this amount represented a 9.7% decline month-on-month.

However, its sister Jack Cleveland Casino saw its June takings decrease by 8.2% year-on-year to $14.97 million with the p also denoting a deterioration of some 14.3% from the $17.43 million it reported for May.

But the situation was much more straightforward for operator Penn National Gaming Incorporated as its Hollywood Casino Columbus posted a 5.6% boost year-on-year in June gross gaming revenues to $17.69 million while its Hollywood Casino Toledo counterpart saw takings improve by 2.8% to $16.05 million.

In terms of slot-only racinos, official ps from the Ohio Lottery Commission regulator showed that the state’s venues have so far brought in some $926.64 million in revenues with the Hollywood Mahoning Valley Race Course reporting a 24.7% boost year-on-year in June takings to $9.48 million.

There was also a nearly 11% rise year-on-year in June gross gaming revenues for the Miami Valley Gaming facility in the city of Lebanon to $11.98 million while the Scioto Downs Racino and Racetrack saw a 10.1% swell to $13 million.

The Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park near Cleveland reported a more modest 8.3% increase year-on-year in June takings to $19.56 million while the Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway saw its tally rise by 9.5% from a year ago to reach $7.67 million.

Finally, Cincinnati’s Belterra Park Gaming and Entertainment Center reported June gross gaming revenues of $6.85 million, which represented a boost of 7% year-on-year, while the Jack Thistledown Racino in village of North Randall reported that its p had improved by 4.2% to $9.49 million.
